BUPNG History
Baptist Union of PNG is a church based organization operating in three main Union areas;
- Min Baptist Union
- Western Highlands Baptist Union
- Enga Baptist Union
Purpose
The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea exist to serve the people of Papua New Guinea. It seeks to facilitate the Spiritual, Physical, Social, Economic and Environmental well being of the people it seeks to serve in their locality.
The Baptist Union of Papua New Guinea seeks to encourage appropriate investments to facilitate integral human development in the following areas:
- spiritual
- educational
- health
- Community development
These investments made in people development should ensure a holistic approach to improving the quality of life in all its fullness.
We envisage these will promote a healthy growing Christian life, a literate and informed mind, an improved health care and hygiene and skill oriented community development initiatives which will enable people to help themselves.
These further promotes respect of human life and dignity, respect of the opposite sex, promotion of equality, justice and peace. This is achieved through informed, practical, realistic and sustainable approach.

Our Vision is to transform the lives of people in Papua New Guinea in their relationships with God, one another and their environment
Mission Statement
To serve urban and rural communities of Papua New Guinea, especially those within the Baptist network. We seek to make them aware of their situations and to recognize their potential thereby enabling them to improve and maintain their lifestyles and livelihoods by just means so that the Kingdom of God becomes morevisible in their situation.
Baptist Union PNG is a name that encapsulates an organization including;
